Check out all of the fun events taking place in Oakland on July 3rd and 4th!
The fireworks show will take place on July 3rd at dusk. With Smokin' Good Times food truck, Lucky Wife Wine Slushies, Dance Atlantic selling smores and glowsticks in Chautauqua Park! Prior to the fireworks show head down to the community building for the Music Bingo fundraiser for the Oaklawn Cemetery from 6-9pm.
Along with many of the traditional events, there have been some fun new ones added! The fire department pancake breakfast, car show sponsored by Arbor Bank with live music by Turnin' Gears from 11-2, family activities in the park, Riverside Rust Market from 9am-4pm, kids bike parade at 11am, food trucks, Nishna Heritage Museum silent auction, parade is at 5pm down Main Street, cornhole tournament after the parade, Whiskey River will play at the amphitheater from 8-midnight, the swimming pool will be open with free admission from 6-9pm and free will donation fundraiser toward the future Oakland Aquatic Center.
Whiskey River will be playing on Saturday night a free show at the Betsy Moniz Amphitheater. Hailing from Omaha, Nebraska, Whiskey River is known for bringing high-energy country music and an incredible live show wherever they perform. They’ve played some of Omaha’s most popular venues, including the Whiskey Roadhouse at Horseshoe Casino, The Waiting Room Lounge, and numerous other venues throughout the Omaha metro area.
